Keith and I were good friends growing up. We got to know each other in the Boy Scouts, Troop 179. His dad and my dad were both active leaders in our troop and there are many memories of Keith as we hiked and camped in the local mountains and in the eastern slopes of the Sierras. With the exception of a few encounters, we didn't see much of each other after high school, as we both entered the service, Keith in the Air Force and I in the Army. I was saddened to learn recently that Keith had passed. He was a good guy.
