I know you're up there reading these pages, and wanted you to know we all still think about you 45 years later.
I didn't hear about your passing until several months later, between the short time both my parents died. That was a horrible year.
I'll never forget the time you dumped bright yellow/green Sea Dye in the El Dorado Park lake, on a really stormy night, and the color spread ALL over the east end of town, in the gutters and storm drains. Or the time you, Jim Lonjers, and I moved all those giant Army tents for your boss at LB War Surplus. We were all in great shape, but they must have weighed 500+ pounds apiece.
Jim and I were there when you got the brooch for MaryAnn at Ports O'Call ( it was so nice there back in the day). You were so proud, and we were both VERY impressed. I know she cherished it.
Dale lived half way down the block from my house. We would occasionally get together for some kind of mischief from elementary school on. We shared a love of motorcycles and on several occasions would go on rides down the coast. I now live off EL Toro Road and remember taking that road and going through Santiago Canyon with Dale on the bikes. We hung out a couple of evenings in December 1972 between my basic training and my first duty station. I was shocked when a couple of months later I found out that he had passed.
I remember the trip to the desert with your family to ride dirt bikes and shoot rifles. It was my first time for both. We had a lot of fun hanging out with each other and other friends, such as Howard.
It was shocking when I came over during a school break to catch up with you and your dad had to tell me you had passed while doing one of the things you loved to do: running around in the desert.
The time spent with you were some of the best highlights of high school and I remember them fondly.

You are truly missed my prankster friend.
Rest in peace Dale

Dale,
I remember the day I found out you had died. I was in total shock that someone could be gone so soon.
