Chris actually graduated from UCLA. He did go to UCSB for two years then transferred to UCLA as a junior. We had a lot of fun and long discussions together on many topics. We went out together while in our senior year at Millikan. Do you remember him driving that white Citroen? We also went out again while I was at UCSB a couple of years later. After we both had families we were friends and a few times a year he'd call me up and we'd have lunch and talk about our kids. It was always fun and interesting. He loved his wife and kids so much. I was very sad to hear he'd gone. He had such a twinkle in his eye and such mischief in his eyes sometimes--along with a quick wit. He is missed.
Thanks Lynn for correcting and adding to the info on Chris Peterson. He was definitey one of a kind. Often quoted Shakespeare, Marlowe, and Greek poets. He delved into the deep meaning and symbolism of literature while many of us were still floating on the surface.
Chris and I were in the same classes at Minnie Gant Elementary from 1st through 6th. He was always the most polite and well-mannered boy in each class. He and his parents spent one year (5th grade?) living in Spain when his dad was on sabbatical. He loved live theater up in LA. Great memories.
