Chris and I were friends since we were about 4 years old.  Both blonde with blue eyes, from a distrance even our parents didn't know who was who until Chris broke her arm and wore a cast.  We lived just 3 houses away from one another.  We would spend a month during the summer together at her grandfathers cabin in Cedar Glen near Lake Arrowhead.  We were in Brownies and Girl Scouts together, inseperable until her father was transferred to Dearborn, Michigan and moved the family there.  Chris came back during high school.  Many years later in 1980 we reunited and became best of friends again for a few years until she moved to Colorado to be near her younger brother.  I kept hoping that she would reach out to me as I lived in the same house with the same phone number for 36 years, but she never did.  I just found out that Chris passed away last year, living in a small town in Idaho just a few miles from where my parents retired and lived until 1994.  I don't know when Chris moved to Sagle, Idaho.  I haven't been back since 1994, but if Chris was there and so was I and didn't know it in a small town of around 5,000 people.  My heart is so full of sorrow knowing I will never again see Chris again.  Rest in peace my dearest friend.

Kathy, Thank you for the wonderful remembrance. I didn't know Chris nearly as well as did you, but got to know her our senior year. A very pretty girl with a sweet personality. If memory serves, she was working at the Broadway in Los Altos Shopping Center when I saw her last. So long ago. Rest In Peace Christine.
