From Phil's Obituary: Phil Singer, 56 passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 from complications due to a brain tumor. Born in Oakland, Calif., Phil was raised in Long Beach. He graduated from Millikan High School in 1969. He received his undergraduate degree from University of California Santa Barbara in 1973. Phil went on to earn his law degree from Southwestern School of Law in 1977. He practiced law for ten years in Long Beach before moving to Vista.
