Linda, I have thought of you so often! I was very shocked to hear of your demise. We were supposed to see each other in 2003, but my accident kept me from coming to the reunion at El Dorado Park. It was so disappointing to head up organizing our class for the reunion; then be stuck in Seattle with broken bones. My thoughts are so deep and happy moments of Prisk and Brownies. We were such good friends, I will cherish that friendship forever. I had written Cheryl back then, as I could not  find you on FB to explain. You were in Santa Barbara; and Cheryl had said you did not to speak to anyone. I was never told til yesterday about your ALS. I’m so sorry. You can rest now and be at peace. We all will miss you! Love to my wonderful friend! 😇💕

A special corner of my heart aches with stunning sorrow at the loss of the vibrant young woman who once filled my life with loving joy as we navigated the magical years of early adulthood together, and who remained a treasured friend for life. My serendipitous encounter with Linda in a senior year class was the absolute highlight of my Millikan years. The warm loving light that naturally emanated from this sweet souled girl filled my heart and irresistibly drew me to her. I was completely captivated. From that fortuitous moment on, we were inseparable, sharing the exhilaration of completing our senior year together at Millikan and, then, continuing our deepening relationship throughout our college years, ending up in beautiful Santa Barbara. It was a wonderful time growing up and growing together, enjoying life's gifts and facing life's challenges along the way. Linda was always supportive of my adventurous nature and willing to patiently indulge my next dream. She was always ready to catch me with her unwavering love if I fell, encouraging me to immediately get up and try again. I will always treasure her for this support. I ended up moving on after graduation from college, chasing another wild dream. But, as always, Linda was supportive, and we parted as forever friends and more. Linda remained in Santa Barbara, met a great guy, married and had the wonderful life she so deserved, but, that was taken from her much too soon.

I am still in heartbreaking disbelief that her radiant light no longer shines upon us, but am comforted in knowing that it now safely shines from within the hearts of all those that she touched with her loving warmth. We are all blessed!

Sleep safely sweet souled girl.

Thank you, David, for sharing your very personal memories of Linda. I knew her from orchestra and Delta Gamma Omega Music Sorority.  She always looked at the bright side of life with a smile on her lips and a twinkle in her eyes. She will be remembered with love.
