I wish I knew you better, Steve. We had a couple of years of ROTC, same platoon or whatever. You took pride in looking sharp on uniform day, but more importantly you always had a smile and never a bad word about anyone. You were someone the nice guys said was a nice guy. Steve and I were in Mixed Chorus together in high school and that is where we started dating. We went to the ROTC Military Ball and to family events together. We broke up in high school, but off and on kept in touch. We reunited at our 10 and 30 year Class Reunion. When Steve's mother called me to tell me that Steve had passed away I was sick. I went to the memorial service for him in Buena Park, but didn't know his friends he had as an adult, only his mother and sister. I miss his laugh and the fun things we did with his family. Rest in peace dear Steve.
